The Motorola Moto G (2023) is a straightforward Android smartphone released in May 2023. While it may be a generation old as of 2025, it still covers the essentials: a large vibrant display, a clean Android experience, and a design that puts durability over dazzle. Think of it as practical tech that gets the job done—without chasing trends or pretending to be something it’s not.

Key features:

Release Date: May 2023
Display: 6.5-inch IPS LCD, HD+ (1600 x 720 px), 90Hz refresh rate
Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ 5G
Camera: Dual rear camera: 48MP main, 2MP depth sensor
Operating System: Ships with Android 13
Build: Plastic frame and back, splash-resistant design
Connectivity: 5G support and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac)

Who is this for?

The Motorola Moto G (2023) is ideal for those who need a dependable smartphone for everyday life—calls, messages, social apps, basic streaming. It’s especially well-suited for students, first-time smartphone users, or anyone who prefers a simple device over the latest flagship race. Compared to other Moto G generation models, this one strikes a practical balance between functionality and ease of use. If you want the fanciest camera or the sharpest screen, you may want to consider stepping up to a premium model.

Pros & Cons: Pros Cons Large 6.5-inch display with smooth 90Hz refresh rate. HD+ resolution is less sharp than Full HD screens. Clean, bloat-free Android 13 experience. No ultra-wide or telephoto camera options. Reliable 5G connectivity for fast downloads. Build is mainly plastic, so it lacks a premium feel.
